South Cobb High School, part of the Cobb County School District in Austell, Georgia, serves students in grades 9–12 and has a long-standing tradition of academic achievement, student leadership, athletics, and community engagement. The school serves approximately 1,900–2,000 students and is a designated Title I school, providing additional resources and supports to help ensure all students have access to educational success and opportunities for postsecondary achievement.

South Cobb High School is recognized for its diverse student population, with approximately 67% African American students, 23% Hispanic students, 5% White students, and smaller populations of Asian and multiracial students represented throughout the school community. A significant percentage of students are identified as economically disadvantaged, underscoring the importance of strong student support systems, wraparound services, and community partnerships to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Communities In Schools is proud to support students and families at South Cobb High School through the implementation of the CIS model. Rikkelle Schulte and Jared Coronado serve as the assigned Communities In Schools Site Coordinators, working daily to provide individualized student support, connect families with critical community resources, strengthen school engagement, and remove barriers that may impact student attendance, behavior, and academic success. Through mentorship, case management, family engagement, and schoolwide programming, Communities In Schools helps students stay in school and achieve in life.
