Communities In Schools of Georgia at Pebblebrook High School works to surround students with the relationships, resources, and opportunities they need to stay in school and achieve in life. Through the evidence-based CIS Model, students and families receive individualized support designed to remove barriers to academic success, improve attendance, strengthen social-emotional wellness, and increase graduation outcomes.

Ms. LaVone Jones serves as the dedicated CIS Site Coordinator at Pebblebrook High School and is assigned to the school daily to implement the CIS Model. In this role, she works closely with school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, families, and community partners to provide case management, academic support, mentoring, family engagement, attendance interventions, basic needs assistance, and school-wide programming that helps students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Located in Mableton, Georgia, Pebblebrook High School is part of the Cobb County School District and serves more than 2,500 students in grades 9–12. The school is recognized for its diversity and for housing the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts (CCCEPA), one of the district’s premier magnet programs for the arts. Pebblebrook is also a Title I school, reflecting the school community’s significant level of economic need and the importance of providing additional academic and wraparound supports for students and families. Recent reports indicate the school’s graduation rate is approximately 74%.
